About the Role
As a Carer, you will be a vital part of our person-centred, holistic approach care, provided in line with assessed need on an individual basis. Supporting individuals to remain in their own homes, local communities and familiar surroundings.
We're looking for enthusiastic, caring and fun individuals to join a dedicated team supporting a 21-year-old gentleman
to live his best life in his own home in Inverness.
This is a 2:1 support service, providing 24-hour support, so you'll always be working alongside a colleague as part of a supportive team.
You do not need to have experience of care and support work, but you need to be committed to making a difference to people’s lives by delivering high-quality care and support.
Typical shifts can look like.
- Support with personal care needs, mobility, medication and dietary requirements, respecting choice and dignity at all times.
- Work in accordance with Support Plans through ongoing reviews to help meet the individuals physical and emotional needs.
- Maintaining factual records in accordance with HHC policies and procedures.
We're looking for someone who
Essential
- Loves a laugh and enjoys a bit of banter
- Is patient, observant, understanding and compassionate
- Is active, energetic and enjoys getting out and about.
- Can build positive relationships and provide person-centred support.
- Is calm and confident, even in challenging situations.
- Has a willingness to become registered with the SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council) and to keep registration up to date
- Has a willingness to undertake and attend any job-related training or review meetings as requested.
- Can adhere to HHC policies and procedures.
- Has an understanding Risk Assessments in relation to your role within HHC.
- Will respect and adopt HHC’s Values in everything you do.
- Knowledge or experience of Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome or epilepsy would be an advantage, but it's not essential. We provide full, comprehensive training, so we're looking for the right attitude above all else.
